This card is helping get the message out to people about the importance of supporting Fairtrade coffee and cocoa farmers in poor areas around the world. Fairtrade labelling provides farmers and their communities with real economic, social and environmental benefits for the products they sell such as the Fairtrade minimum price, and an additional payment to producers for investment in the community. Farmers also get long-term contracts, which allow for future planning and access to export markets via the Fairtrade network.
